Often, in Iceland, the simple fact of leaving the main road makes us switch to another world. Then start to scroll landscapes which pass from green to lunar. The solitude is sometimes broken by sheep which live in the total indifference of what surrounds them, with very often the same configuration: an adult and two small lambs. And then at the end of a road punctuated by ruined farms, after what could have been an eternity as well as a simple minute, we find ourselves in a village, composed of at most three houses and a church. And after having crossed this village in the blink of an eye, we find ourselves walking on a beach in solitude. Here the waves are free, they do not parade for any human coming to disturb them, then they dance as ever, as they please, with softness or force, it is at their good will, they are free.

Note : This soundscape was made from loops of a shorter recording. A minimum of post-production processing was applied in order to retranscribe the natural atmosphere of the place.
